DEEP THOUGHTS OF AN ASSHOLE

TRADE RUMORS

New waves off the rumor mill,
Peter Forsberg might end up in Nashville? uuuh what? Or maybe even in Calgary with Jarome and Tangauy. As a Vancouver Canucks bandwagon fan i hope this doesn't happen. I thought he had a no trade clause and vowed never to play in the Northwestern division against the Av's. Also Vinnie being shopped? I can't see this although he does make alot of money why not move Brad Richards it seems Vinnie has been hot of late. This kids the real deal Hit,Fight, shoot, pass you name it he can do it.
I personally think Tampa would be crazy to trade him. Also Kev Adams is heard to be shopped and your favorite Jim Hughson 3 named player John Micheal Liles from the Av's. Read it all here LeafyMcLeaf posts better than I.
RUMOR TIME

Picks for tonights?

I'm almost scared to make picks after last nights upsetting run of games.
Toronto vs Boston- Toronto
Montreal vs Florida - Montreal
Minnesota vs Nashville-Minnesota
Edmonton vs St. Louis- Edmonton
Phoenix vs Chicago- Phoenix
Philadelphia vs Los Anglos-Philadelphia

Maybe Philly can pull off another one against a team with a battered defence missing the all time give away king Brent Sopel not to mention probably Dan Cloutier in net. I do give the kings credit they have been getting shots lately but in they are deeply sad in the back end.

Did Hell Freeze Over Last Night?

WOW! Buffalo loses to Ottawa,The Islanders beat Dallas and Philly Beats The Ducks.
I think Dan clouiter might have been playing last night against The Flyers because that was just GARBAGE goaltending if i ever saw it. Did the return of Peter Forsberg jinx them? Or did they just get plain old lazy? Gange and Forsberg hook up for 4 points but how easy is that to do when ever your second goaltender is letting in 2 goals in 4 shots. The Flyers shooting only 4 times in the last 2 periods and they score twice?
Maybe the Oilers could take note in there shotless period against Detroit in the first time ever.
"We were just letting him get cold and striking when it counts?".
Rick Dipietro even got a shutout last night wow good thing they signed him to a billion years for a trillion dollars big sigh of relief in New York. I bet all those people at the bottom of your hockey pool are cheering tonight. Could it be two nights in a row lets see tonight. Next thing we know the leafs will win the cup this year.

Who will Lead the NHL this year?

Who will lead the NHL this year in points?
At the start of the season most hockey pool picks would have thought Joe Thorton,Jager or Ovechken but as the race heats up in the early going it has been changing hands back and forth.
Kovalchuck and Hossa have been on fire but is it enough to last for the whole season? Can they last 82 games? Early headstarts from such names as Sundin,Havlat and Afinogenov have quickly been plagued by injuries. Other names up on the list are of today are Micheal Nylander and Ray whitney who are tied in points with Sidney Crosby at 7th Spot.

I think i just might start with my picks for tonight
Ottawa at Buffalo
Ottawa struggling as of late needs to burst the losing bubble eventually but tonight although Ryan Miller is possibly out i think buffalo's speed is not to be matched by Ottawa's defence especially without Wade Redden. This will be a good test for Biron but Ray emery is coming back and just off an injury.
My Pick-"Buffalo Sabers'

Boston vs Washington -Pick Washington
Ranger vs Carolina- Pick Carolina
Nashville vs Columbus-Pick Nashville
Montreal vs Tampa - Pick Montreal
Islanders vs Dallas -Pick Dallas
San Jose vs Colorado - Pick San Jose
Anaheim vs Philly - Pick Anaheim
