Who will lead the NHL this year in points?
At the start of the season most hockey pool picks would have thought Joe Thorton,Jager or Ovechken but as the race heats up in the early going it has been changing hands back and forth.
Kovalchuck and Hossa have been on fire but is it enough to last for the whole season? Can they last 82 games? Early headstarts from such names as Sundin,Havlat and Afinogenov have quickly been plagued by injuries. Other names up on the list are of today are Micheal Nylander and Ray whitney who are tied in points with Sidney Crosby at 7th Spot.

This is the first post on hockey champ. To give a little detail of what is posted here it's basically picks,analysis,pools,comments and talk all about the greatest sport in the world.
I think i just might start with my picks for tonight
Ottawa at Buffalo
Ottawa struggling as of late needs to burst the losing bubble eventually but tonight although Ryan Miller is possibly out i think buffalo's speed is not to be matched by Ottawa's defence especially without Wade Redden. This will be a good test for Biron but Ray emery is coming back and just off an injury.
